Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Technical Specialist to join our team in Hawthorn East, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to our staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and a passion for problem-solving, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and improve IT processes.
  • Document technical procedures and user guides for staff.
  • Train staff on new systems and software applications.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and software applications.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
