Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027

As a member of our IT team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise technologies that enable manufacturing, engineering, and business operations across a global organization.

Position Summary

The IT Systems Engineering Intern will work alongside experienced IT professionals supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, and Microsoft technologies. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in infrastructure operations, systems administration, cloud services, monitoring, automation, and IT service delivery.

The successful candidate will participate in projects and operational activities while learning industry best practices related to enterprise infrastructure management, cybersecurity, operational excellence, and technology modernization.

Learning Opportunities & Responsibilities

Under the guidance of senior engineers and team members, the intern will:

  • Assist with maintaining and monitoring enterprise infrastructure platforms.
  • Support Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365 administration activities.
  • Assist with Active Directory account administration and access management processes.
  • Learn and support virtualization platforms such as VMware.
  • Gain exposure to cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure.
  • Assist with infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and operational dashboards.
  • Support backup and recovery processes and documentation activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
  • Assist with documenting technical procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support asset management, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking activities.
  • Participate in infrastructure improvement and automation projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, Applications, and Network Engineering.
  • Attend team meetings, project reviews, and technical training sessions.
  • Complete an end-of-internship project and present recommendations to IT leadership.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in:
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Cybersecurity
  • Computer Engineering
  • Related technical discipline
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong interest in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity.
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Windows Operating Systems
  • Networking Concepts
  • Computer Hardware
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework related to networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, operating systems, or systems administration.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Active Directory
  • VMware
  • PowerShell
  • Windows Server
  • Linux
  • Experience through:
  • Personal projects
  • University labs
  • Technical clubs
  • Hackathons
  • Certifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and global technology operations.
