Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking an IT Systems Integration Project Manager / Engineer to support SDA’s mission.

The IT Systems Integration professional is a critical role responsible for the hands-on execution of network and information technology solutions at the SDA regional Operations Centers. This position is ideal for a strong Project Manager with a history of overseeing large, complex IT integrations or a senior Engineer/Analyst with deep technical experience leading teams in network infrastructure and administration. The core function of this role is to serve as the subject matter expert for network planning and IT solution integration, ensuring enterprise architecture is effectively adapted to the local facility's framework. Success is reliant on the candidate's ability to immerse themselves in the local IT environment, understand SDA’s enterprise design, and skillfully deploy solutions that exceed user and mission expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Solutions Execution & Integration:
  • Lead the on-site execution of IT integration projects, ensuring network, infrastructure, and mission systems are deployed in alignment with SDA’s enterprise architecture.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for network planning, adapting enterprise solutions to meet the specific needs and constraints of the local Operations Center.
  • Provide hands-on support for the administration and maintenance of the site's network infrastructure, including domain and server environments.
  • Document and curate the Configuration Management Plan for each facility comprised in the local Operations Center footprint to include all Central Equipment (CER) and Telecom Rooms (TR).
  • Local Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the local IT landscape, including on-site partnerships, existing infrastructure, and facility-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with the site’s civilian IT Solutions Lead, mission partners, and end-users to translate operational needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Lead requirement recommendations accounting for project justifications, scope of work, cost estimates, work phasing, and mission operations.
  • Act as a key liaison between the local site and the central Enterprise Operations team to ensure seamless project coordination and knowledge sharing.
  • Technical Oversight & Support:
  • Provide expert guidance on IT network infrastructure, domain/server administration, and overall systems integration to ensure robust and reliable support for all users.
  • Lead technical teams or serve as a senior analyst to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration challenges in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Develop and maintain local site-specific operating procedures, system configurations, and network diagrams.
  • Project & Task Management:
  • (As PM): Oversee the full lifecycle of local integration projects, from planning and requirements gathering through deployment, and successfully transition systems to the operations and maintenance team.
  • (As Engineer): Manage technical tasks and project timelines, ensuring that all engineering and integration efforts are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest technical standard.
  • Report on project status, risks, and milestones to the Site IT Solutions Lead and other relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance and be SCI eligible. #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Must hold a current Security+ certification or a higher-level DoD 8570 certification.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience with a proven track record of overseeing complex IT system integrations and transitions, preferably within a government or DoD environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network planning, design, and administration in a classified environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt enterprise-level IT solutions to a local framework and collaborate effectively with diverse IT partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a USSF/USAF environment with in-depth knowledge of their networks, policies, and regulations.
  • PMP certification (for Project Managers) or advanced networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (for Engineers).
  • Familiarity with SDA's mission, the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), and supporting ground systems.
  • Experience in a multi-location or campus IT environment, supporting both classified (SIPR/JWICS) and unclassified networks.
  • Proven ability to author clear and concise technical documentation, including SOPs and network diagrams.
