Job Description

Partnering with parents and school communities, at Junior Adventures Group (JAG) our goal is to help today’s children navigate their tomorrow by supporting children's development through play in fun, engaging environments. We live and breathe our company values every day by being considerate, passionate, courageous, and making a difference.

Our technology keeps everything running behind the scenes. We’re evolving our IT environment to be more scalable, secure, and efficient- and we’re looking for someone to help drive that forward.

The Role

This is not a “keep the lights on” role.

As our IT Systems Engineer, you’ll take ownership of improving and shaping our systems; reducing recurring issues, strengthening security, and enabling the business to operate more effectively.

Working onsite from our Camberwell office 3-4 days per week, you will work closely with the IT Operations Manager and act as a senior escalation point, solving complex issues while supporting and mentoring the wider IT team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and improve system architecture (Azure, Microsoft 365, SaaS integrations)
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues, outages, and critical incidents
  • Proactively monitor systems and resolve risks before they impact the business
  • Support hardware rollouts, asset management, and infrastructure improvements
  • Lead system upgrades, deployments, and change management processes
  • Maintain clear documentation and improve system standards
  • Mentor IT support staff and step in as a leader when required

Qualifications

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering or Level 2/3 support
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Autopilot
  • Confident troubleshooting complex infrastructure and networking issues
  • Proactive mindset - focused on improving systems, not just fixing them
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on work with broader system thinking

Desirable:

  • Azure SSO and SaaS integrations
  • Hardware rollout or migration experience
  • Cisco Meraki or multi-site environments

Additional Information

Why Join Us

  • Real ownership of systems, not just a ticket queue!
  • A mix of hands-on technical work and strategic improvement
  • Opportunity to automate, optimise, and innovate
  • Work across cloud, infrastructure, security, and projects
  • See the direct impact of your work on the business

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary in line with market rates
  • Free undercover parking
  • Salary sacrificing options
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Occasional after-hours work for critical changes (rare)
