Morling College (MC) is a national multi-campus Christian higher education provider, committed to equipping God’s people for ministry and mission. We are looking for a self-directed IT professional who can make an immediate impact to join our Sydney campus, full-time (5 days/week).

As our IT Systems and Network Engineer, you will:
- Administer our networks and systems, incl. network upkeep and lifecycles, troubleshooting issues, monitoring network traffic, events, and severs, and integrating platforms to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain server backup access and schedules while conducting security and infrastructure audits to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
- Enhance the end-user experience by resolving helpdesk queries, maintaining campus-wide AV facilities, and commissioning and upkeeping MC hardware and software.
- Train staff in the use of systems and serve as a mentor to the IT team by assisting with Casual rostering and task delegation.
- This role is full-time, 38 hours/week (5 days/week).
- Remuneration: $77,554/annum (excl. 12% Super and 17.5% annual leave loading).
- Ideal Start: As soon as possible.
Essential Attributes (please respond to these attributes in your Cover Letter):
- Formal IT qualifications.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a IT Systems and Network Engineer covering:
- Windows 11 operating systems.
- Network administration (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Sophos Firewall, Unifi).
- Windows Server Environments with Active Directory, Print Server administration, and RADIUS Authentication.
- Google suite administration.
- Audio-Visual technology operations in a conference setup.
- Experience with Enterprise Wireless, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLAN's over multiple hardware vendors.
- Experience with security applications/products (e.g., anti-virus, malware, firewalls).
- Ability to initiate and develop strong working relationships with a variety of people.
- A collaborative team player who also thrives when working autonomously.
- Demonstrated Christian character and involvement in a local evangelical church.
- Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission, Staff Code (https://tinyurl.com/mcstaffcode), and Christian ethos of MC.
Desirable Attributes
- Other relevant IT certifications/qualifications.
- Proven working experience as a Systems and Network Engineer or similar within an educational organisation.
- Experience with VOIP phones.
- Experience with MS and MySQL database management.
- Experience with Campus Access control management.
