SAP Basis Specialist

to join our IT/Digital Organization

Location: Sevlievo, hybrid way of working

Scope of the position: Main purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure Villeroy-Boch’s SAP environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient and secure with focus on performance and availability.

Your responsibilities:

SAP Operations & Performance

• Own the day-to-day technical health of SAP systems (S/4, BW, PO, etc.).
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across ABAP, HANA and integrations.
• Analyze workload and system behaviour, driving optimization actions.
• Ensure system stability during peak loads and critical business.

SAP HANA & Infrastructure Optimization

• Monitor and optimize HANA.
• Support data volume management (archiving, housekeeping).
• Contribute to capacity planning and cost optimization initiatives.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Engineering teams, ensuring SAP migrations and cloud improvements are delivered in a scalable, performant and controlled manner.
• Support upgrades, migrations and technical initiatives (S/4 upgrades, migrations, archiving).
• Define and challenge SAP migration frameworks with partners, ensuring scalable, repeatable and low-risk execution.
• Drive simplification and standardization of the SAP landscape.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment on technical decisions and priorities.

Your profile

• Education:

• University Degree in Information Technology or equivalent

• Experience:

• 3+ years of proven SAP Basis experience in complex enterprise environments.

• Language skills:

• English is a must
• Second language – advantageous but not mandatory

• Technical skills:

• Deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver architecture and administration.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and understanding SAP HANA database administration.
• Experience in SAP performance analysis, troubleshooting and optimization across applications, database and infrastructure layers.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts, authorizations and technical troubleshooting
• Experience with SAP upgrades, migrations and technical transformation projects
• Experience working in international environments and collaborating with external providers and managed services

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
