The IT Systems Administrator supports the IT Manager in maintaining a secure, stable, and efficient technology environment across the organisation. The role requires solid technical expertise across systems administration, network and connectivity infrastructure, cybersecurity, and backup/disaster recovery, combined with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business. The incumbent plays a key role in strengthening the organisation's security and resilience posture, supporting digital transformation and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer, maintain and support Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, and related cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Responsible for the day-to-day IT operations, including the setup, configuration and deployment of enterprise tools and software across the organisation.
• Manage and maintain network and connectivity infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPN links across sites.
• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve cybersecurity controls, including email security, endpoint protection, MFA, and DMARC/SPF/DKIM configuration.
• Manage user identity lifecycle, including account provisioning, deprovisioning, and access rights across group entities.
• Monitor network, server, and system performance; proactively troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Support the IT Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects, including digitisation, process automation, IT policies and AI-driven initiatives.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and infrastructure support and renewals.
• Provide local and remote technical support to remote staff using approved remote assistance tools.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including allocation and return of equipment.
• Support compliance activities, including data protection requirements, ITGC audits, and security governance frameworks.
• Conduct periodic security assessments and recommend remediation for identified vulnerabilities.
• Manage backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes, including regular testing and validation of restore procedures.
• Administer and govern approved AI tools including access provisioning, usage monitoring and mitigation of shadow-AI risk.
• Implement and maintain centralised security monitoring and logging (SIEM/SOAR) to support threat detection and incident response.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 2 to 3 years' proven experience in systems administration and/or cybersecurity.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, Cisco).
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, networking, and endpoint/email security tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of network and connectivity infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPNs.
• Sound understanding of data protection principles and IT governance practices.
• Experience with backup solutions and business continuity/disaster recovery planning.
