STARTING WAGE: D.O.E.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: State of Nevada Gaming Permit, Valid Driver’s License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).
Maintain Surveillance physical servers, software, networking hardware, cabling, and cameras for all Mesquite Gaming properties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Quantitative experience or Surveillance IT industry certification. Minimum 2 years experience in the gaming industry. Minimum 2 years experience in working with server hardware, network switches and cabling. Experience with Network layout and logic a must. Must be proficient with analog and IP cameras, multicast routing, and gaming internal standards as it pertains to surveillance operations. Strong troubleshooting skills a must.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Install, configure, and maintain all Surveillance related server hardware and software.
2. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves camera and/or other equipment issues.
3. Installs and adjusts surveillance cameras and/or camera angles for optimum coverage.
4. Ensure backup and recoverability of Network Switch operations.
5. Helps with installing conduit, raceways, and fire wall protection.
6. Work on cameras in the ceilings, on the roof and outdoor poles at heights up to 50 feet in the air.
7. Responds to, identifies, and resolves system issues reported by surveillance operators and management.
8. Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental reports, records, and documentation.
9. Tracks and maintains departmental surveillance equipment/camera inventory.
10. Performs and/or participates in special maintenance projects as assigned.
11. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

• Develop recommended next steps to achieve greater efficiencies in all Surveillance related systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is active. Typically, the employee will be walking, carrying, or moving between properties and departments. There will be walking; standing; bending; carrying of mid weight items such as network switches, servers, cameras, cable spools, driving an automobile, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, training, meeting, server rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
