Under the direction of the Senior Information Advisor, the position performs a variety of support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services. The incumbent will assist in the operation of computer hardware and software installation and will perform a broad range of customer assistance, equipment maintenance and repair. These tasks will include preparing and deploying user workstations, providing support to jëje-in on computer and printer related issues, recording work and resolving issues in the TH helpdesk system, assisting in purchasing and maintaining TH Government IT inventory, contribute to jëje-in knowledge base website, and preparing network cablingThe position will exercise judgement and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determines when to refer problems to supervisor.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.
