Job Description

IT Support Specialist

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Position Summary: Technology plays a vital role in connecting Spectrum Paint to its employees and customers. The IT Support Specialist will work directly with the IT department to support and meet technology needs that align with our company mission and values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise at our 110+ locations and with other staff.
  • Facility delivery of our core services with knowledge of and ability to work with databases and software such as Microsoft Office, SQL, Crystal Reports, etc., and POS Systems
  • Administration of Office 365 portal.
  • Configure User Devices – desktops, laptops, cell phones, etc.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to employees with desktop and other application questions and problems to maximize productivity.
  • Creating and updating detailed documentation on all systems.
  • Management of software maintenance/updates (Windows, Office, etc.)
  • Management of virus protection and end-point protection.
  • Support follow-up and re-assessment of implemented solutions.
  • Handle other system administration tasks and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Potential travel to stores as needed for network repair, and general evaluations of the IT situation.
  • Clerical and Administrative duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • A combination of education and experience in Information Technology or related fields will be evaluated.
  • A year or two in tech support
  • MS Office expertise
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Database management skills
  • Intranet management experience
  • Background in running POS systems a plus
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Customer service-oriented can-do approach to work.
  • Clear in conveying ideas and communicating.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to occasionally carry, relocate, and or lift cartons and containers.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule in an open office environment.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies
  • Capable of passing a background check.
