The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office seeks a highly reliable IT Support Specialist. This role focuses on supporting desktop devices (workstations, laptops, printers, peripherals) and delivering essential end-user training.
• Manage user accounts via Active Directory and Exchange Admin Center.
• Provide Windows 11 and Office 365 training and troubleshooting.
• Build, maintain, and deploy desktop/laptop system images.
• Maintain security compliance through system patching and antivirus maintenance (Ivanti/Symantec).
• Handle procurement, installation, and deployment of new computer equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with LAN/WAN administrators to resolve network problems.
• Manage, track, and order hardware/software assets and IT supplies.
• Deliver courtroom media presentation support in partnership with the Communications Specialist.
• Facilitate virtual meetings using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
• Assist with digital document management, file archiving, and automated forms projects.
• Create, update, and maintain internal IT documentation and procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Proven track record of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Advanced administration of SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Planner and Microsoft Lists.
• Hands-on experience with multimedia editing software.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Technical certifications or college degrees are valued but not required for candidates with equivalent deep technical knowledge.
• Must possess a reliable personal vehicle for daily travel.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
IT Support Specialist reports to the IT Manager.
Salary: $50,000 to $55,000
All full-time positions offer a state benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and paid vacation, personal and sick leave and paid parental leave. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of background check. All positions serve at the pleasure of the District Attorney.
