Job Description


Outsourced
CFO is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our Cape Town team, reporting to the IT Manager.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving problems, bringing order to systems, and finding smarter ways to run IT operations.

You will support a growing team of 200+ users, keep our systems secure and reliable, and play a real part in shaping how our IT function scales.

The level (1 or 2) will be matched to your experience.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to team members, onsite and remote

  • Onboard and train new hires, and handle event technology

  • Receive, format, and deploy devices in line with OCFO standards

  • Manage IT inventory, spare stock, and procurement triggers

  • Build IT reports on systems usage, metrics, and performance

  • Monitor security dashboards, review vulnerabilities, and support compliance

  • Author and audit SOPs, and help maintain systems monitoring

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across IT operations

  • Coordinate with IT partners and vendors


Requirements


  • 1+ years' experience in an IT support role

  • Strong experience administering and supporting Google Workspace (this is our primary platform)

  • Some Microsoft 365 support or exposure

  • Strong problem-solving and systems thinking

  • Attention to detail and process discipline

  • Ability to juggle multiple operational priorities

  • Clear communication and confident stakeholder coordination

  • A continuous improvement mindset

  • A diploma (a degree is ideal)

  • 1+ years in an IT support role

  • Proven experience embedding AI tools into your daily workflow to solve problems and drive results. Able to demonstrate measurable impact—such as time saved, errors reduced, or client value added—rather than just theoretical knowledge.

Advantageous

  • Automation experience with Zapier, n8n, or Zoho Flow

  • Zoho One experience

  • Entry-to-mid level cybersecurity operations exposure

  • Google App scripts experience
