We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator to provide remote and phone-based technical support to a portfolio of key clients. The role involves supporting and maintaining a range of IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and cloud environments while ensuring excellent customer service and timely issue resolution.
The ideal candidate has strong experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment and is confident supporting Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, networking, and backup systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide remote and phone support to a portfolio of key clients.
Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems, software, and network devices including routers, switches, servers, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Support and administer the following technologies and environments:
Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
Exchange and Office 365
Windows Server (2012–2025) and Windows Desktop environments (Windows 7–11)
VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms
Networking fundamentals and VOIP systems including 3CX and Access4
Support backup and disaster recovery systems including Veeam, Altaro, and Acronis.
Assist with infrastructure management including storage, VLANs, routing, and firewalls, preferably Cisco environments.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Travel to client sites within the Adelaide metropolitan area when required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the IT industry.
Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience supporting Australian-based businesses is highly desirable.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and desktop environments.
Understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, routing, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with backup technologies and virtualization platforms.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Cisco networking and firewall technologies.
Exposure to VOIP systems such as 3CX and Access4.
Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or networking certifications.
Work Arrangement
Remote support role with occasional onsite visits within the Adelaide metropolitan area.
