Job Purpose

  • The Executive Support Specialist delivers high-touch technology support for AHM and HDMA executives, including PCs, mobile devices, collaboration tools, video conferencing, and AV support for executive meetings.
  • The role serves as a critical escalation point for Executive Support, Deskside, and Mobile Services, ensuring reliable operations and exceptional customer experience.
  • Core responsibilities include driving technology improvements, coordinating issue resolution across IT teams, supporting executive environments, managing business and affiliate relationships, facilitating training and project transitions, developing knowledge resources, and serving as the primary liaison for assigned business areas.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support Executives at multiple locations iwith technical issues and drive to resolution
  • Support Executive video conference meetings ensuring all parties are connected and functioning properly
  • Escalate any issues to Network Support, A/V Support, and IS Management as needed
  • Document all issues and resolutions within AHM IT approved systems
  • Always driving issues / incidents to countermeasures to minimize client downtime and sustain client productivity
  • Responsible for timely resolution within established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Achieve the project goals for the Executive Support Team as approved annually: including schedule, budget and quality commitments
  • Provide inputs to QCD reporting for continues improvement

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Minimum educational qualifications and relevant work experience:
  • A college level Bachelor’s degree in IT / Networking / Computer Science / Electronics / Data Analytics or a related STEM field of study with at least 3 years of relevant IT industry experience.
  • Candidates lacking a Bachelor's degree must have a High School Diploma and at least 9 years overall relevant IT indusry experience or an Associate degree in a related STEM field with at least 7 years of relevant IT industry experience.
  • Certifications: A+ Certification (preferred)
  • Other Job-specific Skills:
  • Must have demostrable experience in audio-visual (AV) / video conference equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong technical background supporting Active Directory, Windows operating systems, Apple devices (mobile phones and tablets), and video conferencing/ (audio-visual) AV technologies.
  • Must be able to build strong relationships and trust with the most senior leaders of the organization.
  • Should have good interpersonal soft skills for cross-cultural communication at executive level.
  • Interact regularly with customers to understand their business/anticipate their IT requirements; manage business relationships
  • Be comfortable under pressure, and able to effectively communicate technical instructions in a simple, easy to understand, way
  • Display proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, manage business relationships, analyze KPIs and operational metrics, lead continuous improvement efforts, troubleshoot complex issues under pressure, and work effectively in a flexible, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Desirables:
  • Conversational skills in Japanese.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile / Waterfall).

Workstyle

  • This is an onsite job. One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
  • Other requirements:
  • Should be able to work a flexible work schedule
  • May have to work overtime and support corporate events
  • Must possess a valid driving license and be able to operate a motor vehicle without requiring assistance.
  • Candidate may have to drive to different Honda locations within the Greater Columbus and Toledo area, of Ohio on a need basis approx. 25% to 30% of the time.
  • Annual travel requirements: ~ 10% (combining domestic and int’l)
  • Physical requirements:
  • Should be able to lift up to 50lb and move approx. 50 ft, without requiring assistance.
  • Climb a ladder, if required
