Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Support Assistant provides first-line support to users, diagnosing and resolving technical, hardware, software and application issues by phone, in person, or remotely.
The role also supports user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, device preparation, access changes, and removal of leaver access. The IT Support Assistant works closely with the Managed Service Provider to escalate issues, follow up tickets, and support day-to-day IT operations.
The role requires awareness of Information Security policies, Cyber Essentials requirements, and the importance of protecting company systems and data.
