
IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist is the first line of support for internal IT requests at Maverick, one of the business units within the Orion portfolio of Andromeda Software. This entry-level role is designed for someone eager to learn and grow within a tech environment, handling everything from account administration to hardware setup and basic troubleshooting. The role offers genuine career development, with a clear pathway into Microsoft 365 and cloud administration responsibilities as the organization's infrastructure buildout progresses.
Job Responsibilities
Respond to and resolve incoming IT support tickets from employees across the organization.
Manage user account administration including creation, modifications, access provisioning, and offboarding.
Support laptop and desktop deployments, imaging, and basic hardware configuration.
Assist with password resets, software installations, and troubleshooting.
Maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures.
Learn and develop a thorough understanding of Maverick's business structure, systems, and technology ecosystem.
Support corporate IT initiatives and security compliance requirements.
Contribute to planning and early phases of the Microsoft 365 infrastructure buildout.
Growth Path (Beyond Two Years)
Transition into Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration as the cloud tenant comes online.
Take ownership of identity and access management tasks.
Contribute to security and compliance initiatives.
Develop deeper expertise in cloud infrastructure and enterprise identity systems.
Potential to grow into a senior operations or security-focused role within the Andromeda ecosystem.

Qualifications
Relevant post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.
Demonstrated appetite for AI, its applications, and its role in modern IT operations.
Preferred Experience
Previous work experience in asoftwarecompany
Experience in the financial servicesor healthcaresectors.
Basic IT troubleshooting or help desk background.
Familiarity with Windows operating systemsandOffice applications.
What We Offer
Competitive salary: $55,000 to $60,000 CAD

Salary Range (Ontario & BC Only):
The estimated base salary range for this role is CAD$54,000.00 - CAD$66,000.00 per year.
