The role

We are looking for an IT Support Administrator (Level 1/2) to join our growing Technology team based in Sydney, Australia.

As our IT Support Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our employees have the technology and support they need to perform at their best. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support while contributing to endpoint management, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 administration, and continuous improvement initiatives across our global business.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you’ll be responsible for:

Service Desk & End User Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests across the business
  • Log, prioritise and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 support requests within agreed service levels Provide support for Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, conferencing systems and mobile devices
  • Deliver remote technical support to employees across our global offices
  • Escalate complex issues to the Head of Technology or external vendors where required

User Lifecycle Management

  • Provision and configure laptops, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Coordinate IT onboarding, offboarding and employee transfers
  • Create, modify and disable user accounts
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing and user access permissions

Endpoint Management & Cybersecurity

  • Support Microsoft Intune endpoint management and device lifecycle administration.
  • Assist with software deployment, operating system updates and patch management.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
  • Monitor endpoint security alerts and assist with security incident response.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and endpoint compliance activities.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness initiatives and phishing simulations.
  • Support the ongoing administration of Microsoft Defender and other security technologies.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate IT asset registers, support documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in technology projects, system implementations and rollouts.

Vendor & Operational Support

  • Liaise with external vendors for hardware procurement and technical support.
  • Assist with maintaining operational technology services.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities when required.

To be successful in the role, we’re looking for candidates with:

  • Appropriate Diploma, Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Experience providing technical support through employment, internships, work placements or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams and Office applications.
  • Experience supporting Windows 11 and/or macOS environments
  • Understanding of user account administration and identity management
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using, or the ability to quickly learn, IT service management (ITSM) and ticketing systems
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative approach to work with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users

    Highly regarded:

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft certifications (MS-900 or Endpoint Administrator Associate)
  • ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed teams
  • Exposure to endpoint security, Microsoft Defender or device compliance solutions
  • Experience within healthcare, clinical research or another regulated industry
