ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a well-established international lifestyle and fitness brand entering the Thailand market. The organization operates a multi-site, technology-enabled business model and works closely with a regional headquarters team to deploy standardized systems across new locations.

Thailand is a key growth market, and the local team is being built from the ground up.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is the first IT hire in Thailand and plays a hands-on, operational role in supporting office and site-level IT systems during the company's setup and early growth phase.

The position focuses on executing and maintaining IT infrastructure and business systems locally, based on regional standards and guidance. You will act as the local IT owner, working closely with Taiwan HQ IT, regional IT stakeholders, and local management in Thailand.

This is not a strategy-only IT management role. The successful candidate must be comfortable handling practical support, vendor follow-up, site readiness checks, and hands-on troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Infrastructure and Site Support

  • Set up and support office and site IT infrastructure, including network, Wi-Fi, devices, and peripherals
  • Coordinate ISP setup, connectivity testing, basic redundancy, and network troubleshooting
  • Support POS systems, access control, CCTV interfaces, and related site technologies
  • Work with local vendors for hardware sourcing, installation, and on-site support

Systems Deployment and Operations

  • Execute local deployment, testing, and go-live support for regional systems such as ERP, POS, HRIS, CRM, and access control
  • Support users with system access, basic troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Act as the local contact point for regional IT teams on system-related matters

IT Support and Documentation

  • Provide day-to-day L1/L2 user support for office and site staff
  • Maintain asset lists, basic documentation, and system records
  • Support simple service processes such as ticket tracking, escalation, and follow-up

WHO IS THIS ROLE FOR

This role is well suited for IT professionals who are hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a startup-style environment.

You enjoy execution more than theory and are comfortable supporting both systems and people.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

This is not a pure helpdesk role, as the position also supports site setup, vendor coordination, system deployment, and operational readiness.

It is also not a senior IT strategy role with a large local team. The role requires hands-on execution during the early Thailand setup phase.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or system implementation roles
  • Solid understanding of Windows environments, basic servers, networking, and Wi-Fi
  • Hands-on experience supporting business systems or site-level technologies such as POS or access control
  • Comfortable coordinating with vendors and service providers
  • Strong sense of ownership and willingness to support operations during go-live periods
  • Good English communication skills for regional collaboration

Preferred

  • Experience in retail, chain stores, fitness, hospitality, or multi-site environments
  • Exposure to ERP, POS, HRIS, or CRM systems
  • Experience supporting new offices or site openings
  • Mandarin communication is a strong advantage, especially for coordination with Taiwan HQ on system implementation, but it is not mandatory

WORKING MODEL

  • Based in Bangkok
  • Occasional travel to local sites within Thailand
  • Flexibility required during system deployments or openings
