We’re looking for an IT Supervisor to bring professionalism and energy to our Mobile Communications Services team. Our dedicated group is focused on the creation, design, and development of faster, more efficient telecommunications and data systems. The IT Supervisor will oversee operations, guide technical teams, and drive innovation to ensure seamless communication support for our agency and its partners.

Six years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
An associate's degree in information technology plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus three years of experience in information technology; OR
A master’s degree plus three years of experience in information technology.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NOTE:
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties and Other Information:
The incumbent for this position provides technical advisement and oversight while directing and supporting lower-level technicians and coordinating with industry partners on system enhancements, upgrades, and infrastructure expansions. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the incumbent ensures the daily operations critical to mission success are complete and on task. The incumbent ensures staff are properly trained and equipped to provide user support for troubleshooting and repair of electronic and electrical systems, mobile data computers, and PC hardware/software. Additionally, this position serves as the primary liaison with vendors to safeguard system integrity and dependability while upholding the mission of statewide interoperability.
-Supervises a staff of information technology personnel that may be focused to a specific area of information technology or perform a variety of technical support activities. Areas may include, for example, applications development, technical business analysis, end user support, networking support, technical infrastructure support, information security, etc.
-Determines priorities for the work unit, assigns work, monitors progress of assigned projects, and evaluates subordinate performance.
-Ensures all information technology requests are completed accurately and timely for assigned subordinates.
-Assesses training needs for assigned subordinates and implements training activities to enhance technical competencies. Supervises relationships with information technology vendors and contractors; evaluates work products and deliverables.
-Maintains technologies for assigned area. Approves and monitors work plans and schedules to ensure continuity of operations.
-May cross train other IT professionals by providing guidance and knowledge transfer in area of expertise.
-May present to agency personnel and other outside entities as needed to educate on appropriate technology use, new technologies, etc. Reports on progress of work unit activities to management.
-May perform special assignments as directed by management.
