About the Team

Join our Global Connected Services Engineering team, a group skilled in data engineering, software engineering, and architecture. This team focuses on delivering Connected Solutions that improve customer experiences and operational efficiency across the PACCAR network.

The Role

We are excited to offer an internship position for a budding Software Engineer within our Global Connected Services Engineering team. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for our Global Connected Services Platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the creation of innovative and scalable software solutions that enhance the connected experiences of our customers worldwide. This internship presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic, real-world environment.

Job Responsibilities & Projects

  • Assist in designing and developing software applications.
  • Help with coding under senior engineers' guidance.
  • Participate in testing and debugging to ensure software functionality.
  • Support the integration of software components.
  • Learn and apply new technologies and software development practices.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members.

Required Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, NodeJS, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge/Interest in AWS services and cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Curiosity about DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field.
