About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team in Gdansk (part of Data Center & Cloud). In this position, you will play a key role ensuring reliability, security and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You will support, maintain and continuously improve our Azure-based platform, working closely with architects, cloud engineers and application teams to deliver secure, scalable and automated solutions.

We are looking for someone who thrives on solving technical challenges, driving automation, and continuously improving cloud operations in Azure for both IaaS and PaaS components. There will be a specific focus on maintaining virtual machines, Kubernetes, cloud networking and DevOps environments.

How you will make an impact

  • Support operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Hyperscaler Cloud infrastructure (98% Azure, 2% Google Cloud)
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents across infrastructure and services
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, including (but not limited to) Virtual Machines, Azure networking, Kubernetes clusters, Application Gateways / Front Doors, as well as manage service principals and some Entra ID processes.
  • Support development of containerized workloads running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Manage and troubleshoot cloud network infrastructure including Virtual Networks, VNet peering, VPNs, Load Balancers and virtual WAN
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or ARM
  • Monitor platform health, performance and security, responding proactively to alerts and operational issues as L2 or L3.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud services
  • Continuously develop your expertise in Azure and cloud-native technologies

What will make you successful

  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud, including experience working with Azure environments
  • Hands-on knowledge in core Azure services, including Compute, Networking, VWan, ExpressRoute, monitoring, and Databases
  • Understanding of networking Kubernetes platforms, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of containerized applications
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with automation and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in using at least one of the following deployment methods such as Azure CLI or Azure PowerShell
  • Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in our Azure environment

Furthermore, you will have 

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Windows OS or Linux OS management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is highly desirable. Additional certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
