Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The IT Specialist supports the Information Systems team and the customer facilities with Help Desk, systems administration, new hires and purchasing.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
• Responds in a timely fashion to end users’ needs and concerns relating to computer business applications and general systems issues
• Diagnoses and resolves technical problems, escalating problems when necessary
• Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
• Provides support for both software and hardware
• Set up new hires with equipment as designated
• Purchase components and supplies related to function
• Complete projects as assigned
• Understand and abide by Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Adhere to the Company mission, policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
• None

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field or work experience (3+ years)
• 3+ years support for Windows 10,7
• 3+ years support for Windows server 2012, 2008
• 3+ years support for Microsoft Office Products including O365
• 2+ years experience with Active Directory (Add/Delete/Manage Users)
• 2+ years experience with Group Policy
• 2+ years experience with DNS
• Ability to handle projects as assigned by IS managers
• Knowledge of wiring and cables
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Operate a computer and other office components such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
• Frequently communicates and transcribes information
• Move and install equipment weighing up to 15lbs
• Frequently positions self to maintain computers and other equipment, including under desks and in the server closet
