Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with regional and global procurement priorities, leveraging market analysis to optimize supplier selection and performance.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories to meet annual savings targets and drive value for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs and ensure early involvement in the sourcing process.
  • Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and address gaps to improve quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to governance, ethical sourcing practices, and sustainability objectives while supporting audit and compliance requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting and analytics on procurement performance, including spend analysis, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with global category managers and cross-functional teams to leverage scale, align strategies, and drive procurement initiatives effectively.

As Global IT Procurement Specialist, you will be part of a team and play a pivotal role in executing end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities for enterprise technology and business platforms on a global scale. This role ensures commercial excellence, risk mitigation, and compliance while enabling cost optimization and innovation across critical IT categories. The position partners closely with Technology Services (focused on Global Functions & Business Platforms), Legal, Finance, HR and other group functions and business stakeholders to deliver strategic sourcing outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally in outsourcing or subcontractor management at a global level.
  • You should have experience in leading negotiations and managing contracts effectively.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to own and drive cost-savings opportunities within assigned vendor portfolio and implement strategic engagements that deliver operational improvements.
  • Experience of tail spend management, rationalisation and optimisation would be an advantage including experience working with resellers.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will collaborate across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Experienced in the adoption of global procurement systems and processes.
  • You should be CIPS qualified or working towards accreditation.
