We are looking for an IT Service Delivery Specialist to join the EMEA IT Operations team, composed of professionals located across multiple European countries, including Italy.

In this role, you will support and coordinate IT Operations and Service Delivery activities across the EMEA region, working closely with Business stakeholders, Global IT teams, suppliers, and external IT partners.

This is not a traditional helpdesk or PMO role. It is a hands-on operational position that combines regional IT operations, service coordination, and project delivery responsibilities across multiple EMEA sites. You will play an active role in both regional and global IT initiatives, ensuring high-quality IT operations and effective service delivery from IT partners.

Primary Location: Lucca (Italy)

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Support and coordinate regional IT Operations and Service Delivery activities across EMEA sites

  • Collaborate with local and global IT teams to implement and deliver standardized IT solutions for business projects

  • Ensure effective management of project scope, requirements, timeline, budget, and benefits in line with the change framework

  • Participate in and lead regional IT projects, deployments, and implementations

  • Ensure proper project onboarding and alignment, clarifying technical scope, stakeholder expectations, and objectives

  • Proactively monitor project execution, identifying risks, issues, and impacts, and driving mitigation actions

  • Monitor and optimize process performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure timely project delivery

  • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of IT services and projects

  • Collaborate with Global IT teams, suppliers, and IT partners to ensure stable and reliable service delivery

  • Monitor IT operations performance across EMEA and coordinate incident resolution and escalations

  • Provide regular reporting and maintain accurate documentation in global systems

Expectations for You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical/business field

  • 4+ years of experience in IT projects, IT Operations, Service Delivery, or similar roles

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT Operations

  • Broad IT knowledge across infrastructure, operations, service delivery, or regional IT support

  • Experience in one or more technical domains such as servers, networking, end-user services, or factory IT (considered a plus)

  • Good understanding of Windows servers and network standards

  • Proven ability to work independently in an international and cross-functional environment

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Ability to assess task complexity and estimate timelines accurately

  • Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are an asset

  • Strong reporting and documentation skills

To succeed in this role

To succeed in this role, you bring a proactive mindset and strong coordination capabilities, supported by a solid IT background. You feel comfortable operating in a complex, international environment and engaging with multiple stakeholders across different regions and functions.

You demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple activities. You take ownership of your work and show accountability in driving tasks and projects forward, ensuring that objectives are met. Clear and effective communication is one of your key strengths, enabling you to collaborate efficiently and build strong working relationships across teams and regions.

You are able to balance operational responsibilities with project delivery, ensuring both service stability and continuous improvement across the EMEA region.

We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles—practical behaviours that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together:
