We are looking for an IT Service Delivery and Security Manager to help provide technology, systems and security foundations that support our people and purpose. This is a practical, hands-on role where you will be close to the day-to-day work - solving problems, supporting users, improving processes and keeping our IT environment running smoothly and securely.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of IT Operations and Enterprise Applications, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of IT operations and cyber security across the Foundation. You will be actively involved in service delivery, IT procurement, end-user computing, telephony, vendor management and related outsourced services, while supporting practical improvements to the way we work.

This role leads a small team, but it is very much a hands-on position. It would suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, being an escalation point, working directly with stakeholders and balancing team guidance with practical delivery.

What your key focus areas will be:

  • Manage and improve IT service management processes aligned to ITIL best practice.
  • Lead end-user computing, hardware and software provisioning, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Embed practical processes that improve efficiency, consistency and service quality across IT operations.
  • Develop and maintain an Information Security Management System and support audit and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to the IT Operations roadmap by identifying practical opportunities to improve service delivery, reliability and security.
  • Provide guidance and act as an escalation point for IT operations across the Foundation.
  • Produce clear and consistent management reporting across IT operations and security initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 5 years in IT management roles with strong hands-on capability across service delivery, cyber security, end-user support and day-to-day IT operations.
  • A practical background in implementing an ISMS at an operational level, using frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and the ASD Essential Eight.
  • Confidence working across the Microsoft 365 stack, including SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Intune, Purview and Copilot.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ITIL-aligned processes such as Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management, ideally within Jira.
  • Familiarity with overseeing AWS infrastructure, including domain lifecycle management.
  • Capability in managing IT budgets, procurement processes and vendor relationships.
  • A practical, collaborative leadership style, with the ability to support a small team while staying close to the work and building trusted relationships across the organisation.
