The IT Resilience and Assurance Analyst supports Hearst Technology Services’ Organizational Resilience team by helping strengthen enterprise technology resilience, operational maturity, governance practices, and continuous improvement across critical technology services.
This position is designed for individuals early in their technology careers who want practical exposure to the disciplines that keep enterprise technology services reliable, resilient, well-governed, and continuously improving, including business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational assurance, change management, quality assurance, operational risk management, technology governance, and AI-enabled operational improvement.
Working alongside experienced technology professionals, the analyst will help develop resilience capabilities, evaluate operational effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and build innovative AI-powered solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, enhance decision-making, and increase the value delivered by Hearst Technology Services.
The role combines operational resilience activities, including business continuity planning, disaster recovery, crisis management, and operational readiness, with operational assurance activities that evaluate governance, documentation, operational controls, service maturity, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Equally important, the analyst will help identify practical opportunities where artificial intelligence, automation, and modern technologies can improve Organizational Resilience services.

This role is intended to develop early-career technology talent while strengthening Hearst Technology Services’ resilience, assurance, governance, and AI-enabled operational improvement capabilities. The analyst will contribute to practical work across business continuity, disaster recovery, operational assurance, reporting, documentation, and solution development, with an emphasis on learning through meaningful enterprise initiatives.
Part-Time Schedule: This benefits-eligible, part-time role is 21 hours per week across three flexible workdays, mutually agreed upon based on business needs and the employee’s academic or personal schedule.
Work Location: This is an in-person role based at Hearst’s New York City office.
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City. The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York City, is $35.00/Hour - $41.00/Hour. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location.
