The IT Reporting Specialist supports multiple departments by developing and maintaining accurate, actionable reports with a strong focus on Quality reporting. This role works closely with clinical, pharmacy, finance, dental, operations, and administrative teams to deliver data-driven insights, including HEDIS, UDS, and Gaps in Care reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain reports across multiple departments

• Partner closely with the Quality team on HEDIS, UDS, and Gaps in Care reporting

• Extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy

• Collaborate with department leaders to define reporting needs and deliver solutions

• Use SQL, IBM Cognos, or similar tools to build and maintain reports

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and HIPAA compliance

• Stay current on reporting tools, data analysis methods, and industry best practices

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Information Technology or 1+ year of healthcare reporting or analytics experience

• 3+ years of experience with SQL and reporting tools (IBM Cognos or similar)

• Experience with Microsoft SQL databases

• Experience with Electronic Medical and/or Dental Record systems

• Healthcare or FQHC experience preferred

Qualifications

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Reporting Specialist will serve as a pivotal resource within our organization, primarily focusing on multi-departmental report writing, including but not limited to Quality, Clinical, Pharmacy, IT, Finance, Dental, Operations, and administrative departments. This role necessitates significant interaction with various departments, with a heavy emphasis on Quality, to fulfil numerous report requests.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

1. Develop, write, and manage reports for multiple departments as per their specific requirements.
2. Work extensively with the Quality department, focusing on HEDIS, UDS, GAPs in Care data.
3. Mine data from various sources, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data used.
4. Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver suitable solutions.
5. Utilize SQL, IBM Cognos, or other reporting platforms to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
6. Validate and cross-verify data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data analysis techniques and reporting platforms.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. AA degree in Information Technology or at least 1-year prior analytical reporting, quality reporting, or other healthcare reporting experience desired
2. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SQL, IBM Cognos, or other similar reporting platforms.
3. Prior experience in report writing and data analysis is highly desirable.
4. Prior experience in a health care environment, specifically a FQHC, is an asset.
5. Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL databases
6. Experience with Electronic Medical/Dental Records system required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The IT Reporting Specialist will operate in a comfortable office environment and must meet the following physical requirements:

1. The role may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

2. Sufficient vision to read handwritten, typed, and computer-printed documents throughout the day.

3. Clear speech and hearing to receive and communicate detailed information over the phone and in person.

4. Physically capable of sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods of time; frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder movements.
