
USC’s Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences is seeking an IT Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist to join its Dornsife Technology Services team. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
The IT Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist will assist Dornsife faculty, staff, and graduate students by providing consulting, procurement, and inventory services for all Dornsife IT assets. The specialist will also work collaboratively with the Dornsife Technology Services team to research, test, document, and implement new hardware and software assets, services, and software; utilize available university systems to procure new assets and arrange necessary logistics; update all inventory records and perform periodic inventory audits; and collect, track, and redistribute IT assets as necessary for incoming and departing employees.
Candidates should possess superior communication and customer service skills and have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, faculty, staff, students, and vendors in ways that foster optimal interactions and results. Candidates must be able to demonstrate familiarity with current hardware configurations and software licensing.

Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $37.16 - $45.19. Minimum Field of Expertise: Prefer degree in business administration, accounting or related field. Budget experience including knowledge of procurement, government and fund accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
