IT Project Manager, Secondary Care

Manchester

Permanent: hybrid, up to 3 days WFH

Salary from: £62.6k + 10% bonus + fantastic benefits

37.5 hours per week

In this role you will oversee the planning, execution and completion of a range of key IT projects. Responsibilities will include delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget. You will also define project goals, understand stakeholder requirements and translate these into project plans and user stories.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Establish and lead delivery teams, creating a collaborative and productive working environment to manage the delivery of products or services for small to medium-sized initiatives
  • Manage the prioritisation of work items, lead iteration planning processes and ensure value is delivered incrementally throughout the delivery cycle
  • Participate in reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes within the scope of the team or initiatives
  • Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion projects
  • Manage change control processes and assess risks, ensuring projects align with governance frameworks and business priorities
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables meet agreed standards, budgets and timelines
  • Ensure project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure
  • Proactively monitor performance metrics, implementing preventive and corrective actions as needed

What you’ll bring

  • Significant professional experience in IT project management, IT delivery or technology‑enabled change, ideally within a healthcare environment
  • Proven accountability for end‑to‑end delivery of small to medium‑sized projects or initiatives
  • Strong experience across core project management disciplines: Project planning and execution (scope, schedule, resources, milestones)
  • Confident leadership of project teams, creating a collaborative and productive working environment
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Use of appropriate project management methods and tools, adapting approach to suit delivery context
