40Under minimal supervision, this position directs and manages project work to ensure appropriate communication of project status, scope, risk. This team member manages assigned projects per standards and guidelines in order to facilitate the completion of projects within budget and schedule. Project work is typically moderate in complexity, requiring project manager flexibility to apply various tools and techniques to provide structure to the project, leveraging relevant experience and ingenuity. Workload may include managing multiple projects, at various stages, simultaneously or a single more complex, risk involved project. This team member builds and maintains working relationships with sponsoring organizations, stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. They are familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. This employee relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They perform a variety of tasks and leads and directs the work of others. This team member actively participates and contributes to the WU IT Project Manager Community of Practice.

Base pay is commensurate with experience.The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
