The IT Project Manager – Deployment is accountable for orchestrating technology deployments and mobilizations through the full project lifecycle, from intake and planning through execution, go‑live, stabilization, and closeout. This role operates within Aramark’s decision‑rights and accountability model, ensuring that readiness is assessed objectively, risks are surfaced early, and projects advance only when prerequisites are met or risk is explicitly accepted by the appropriate leadership level.
The Project Manager partners closely with Line of Business leaders, IT Field Services, Product, Infrastructure, and external partners to enable speed‑to‑market while preserving governance, applying the Speed with Safeguards model when required. Success in this role is defined not only by on‑time delivery, but by predictable outcomes, transparent risk management, and disciplined escalation aligned to the project lifecycle framework.
Lifecycle & Governance
• Drive projects through the project lifecycle, ensuring clear entry/exit criteria at each stage
• Enforce readiness discipline, ensuring projects do not advance without required prerequisites or documented leadership risk acceptance
• Facilitate formal decisions at pre installation, go live, and closeout milestones
Risk, RAID & Escalation
• Own active RAID management, including aging, accountability, and escalation in accordance with defined thresholds
• Surface business controlled risks early and ensure explicit leadership ownership and acceptance where required
• Treat escalation as a governance mechanism, not a failure condition
Cross Functional Orchestration
• Lead cross functional teams (IT Field Services, Infrastructure, Product, LOB partners, vendors) without formal authority, holding owners accountable to commitments
• Coordinate solution readiness across technical, operational, security, and compliance domains (PCI, Security, Banking, etc.)
Execution & Delivery
• Maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and dependency tracking aligned to lifecycle stages
• Monitor cost, timeline, and scope impacts and initiate Project Change Requests (PCRs) when required
• Oversee deployment execution, go live support, stabilization, and formal closeout activities
Communication & Leadership Enablement
• Provide dashboard driven visibility into status, risks, readiness, and decisions
• Prepare leadership ready materials focused on decisions required, not task status
• Act as a trusted liaison between IT and the business, reinforcing expectations and accountability
SCOPE: Describe the reporting relationships, special skills and abilities required to perform essential job functions.
Reports to IT Director – POS
• Demonstrated experience managing projects within a structured lifecycle and governance model, not just task execution
• Proven ability to surface risk, drive escalation, and support leadership decision making under compressed timelines
• Experience operating in high visibility, high stakes deployments where readiness and risk tolerance must be explicitly managed
Process & Frameworks
• Working knowledge of RAID management, readiness gating, and formal go live decision models
• Experience applying standardized delivery frameworks (e.g., PROCESS, stage gate, or equivalent governance models)
• Comfort enforcing process discipline while supporting speed to market objectives
Leadership & Communication
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex delivery risks into clear leadership decisions
• Ability to influence without authority and hold cross functional partners accountable
• PMP or similar certification remains a plus, but governance and execution maturity is the primary differentiator
