Project Planning & Governance

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource plans, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, compliance standards, and internal processes.

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end to end delivery of IT projects, ensuring quality output, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and manage internal teams (local and regional) and external vendors/partners to ensure flawless project execution.
  • Oversee project procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, contract management, and Scope of Work (SOW) development.
  • Manage and track all project changes, risks, and issues with appropriate mitigation and escalation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including WBS, RAID logs, and deliverable sign offs across all milestones.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders across business units and technology teams.
  • Provide timely and transparent project status updates, including executive level reporting.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project team members to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are well managed and outcomes are achieved.

Performance Monitoring & Closure

  • Monitor and report on project performance against key success metrics (scope, schedule, cost, quality).
  • Conduct project post implementation reviews and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure successful transition of project deliverables to BAU/support teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience, with a strong track record in banking or financial services technology delivery.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, regulatory requirements, and technology ecosystems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with exceptional attention to detail and multitasking proficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage cross functional and multi disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
