
The Professional – Vendor & Asset Management is responsible for managing vendor relationships related to IT Infrastructure services, maintaining an accurate inventory of IT assets, and optimizing vendor and asset management processes. This role ensures service quality, cost-effectiveness, and supports procurement and contract management activities within the organization.
Vendor Relationship Management:
• Manage relationships with internet service vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for escalations and performance-related issues.
• Monitor vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and address any gaps or areas for improvement.
• Support Procurement in Negotiation of contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal service delivery.
Asset Management:
• Tracking switches, Access Points, firewalls and other network products
• Maintaining an inventory of IT Infrastructure assets.
• Monitoring lifecycle of support contracts: renewals, upgrades, cancellations.
• Conduct regular audits of IT assets to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper asset allocation, utilization, and security.
Process Optimization:
• Identify opportunities to optimize vendor and asset management processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement best practices for vendor selection, onboarding, and performance management.
• Streamline asset management workflows, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in vendor and asset management.
Procurement and Contract Management Support:
• Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to develop and review vendor contracts and agreements.
• Provide input on vendor selection criteria and participate in the evaluation of vendor proposals.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and payment terms.
• Support the development of procurement strategies and initiatives related to network services and assets.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Develop and maintain documentation related to vendor agreements, asset inventory, and management processes.
• Generate regular reports on vendor performance, asset utilization, and cost savings.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in vendor management, asset management, or procurement, preferably in a network services environment.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network technologies, and vendor management best practices.
• Experience with asset management tools and systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred Certifications: ITIL, PMP, or related certifications.
