As an IT Professional II, you will serve as a key technical resource for the College of Dentistry, providing advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and support for critical hardware, software, and clinical technology systems. You will play an essential role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment by resolving complex technical issues, administering software and systems, coordinating with vendors, and implementing technology solutions that support patient care, education, and research. In addition, you will provide technical guidance to team members, contribute to system improvements, and serve as a trusted partner to faculty, staff, and students in delivering exceptional technology services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and system issues
Install, configure, and maintain technology systems and equipment
Administer and support assigned software applications and systems
Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
Recommend hardware and software purchases, upgrades, and improvements
Provide technical guidance and support to customers and team members
Document issues, solutions, and procedures while supporting continuous improvement efforts
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of related experience in IT
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Strong knowledge of Windows and office productivity software
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Familiarity with clinical practice management software is a plus
IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus
