Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (generally)
This role is mostly remote; however, there will be mandatory on-site meetings 1-4 per month. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union, which include the following counties: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo. For hybrid and remote roles, candidates are still required to reside within a commutable distance of our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, California.

The IT Product Owner – Fiserv DNA is responsible for understanding the credit union’s business strategy and how core banking and related lending products support those objectives. This role will serve as the primary product owner for the Fiserv DNA platform, partnering closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to define and execute a product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
This role is highly business-facing and plays a key role in managing demand, aligning priorities, and ensuring work is focused on delivering business value. The Product Owner will work closely with stakeholders to intake, prioritize, and manage ticket-based demand, as well as support project work when resources are aligned.

Over time, this role will expand to support additional ancillary systems and integrations that interact with the core platform, ensuring end-to-end alignment, consistency, and value realization across the ecosystem.

Profile:

  • Primary focus on Fiserv DNA platform, with expected growth into supporting adjacent systems and integrations that interact with core banking services
  • Establishes and maintains governance mechanisms to efficiently lead the product's evolution and align with our business strategy.
  • Works with key business stakeholders to define a product vision and roadmap.
  • Effectively communicates the product vision, roadmap, and priorities using communication tactics appropriate for the target audience.
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog based on business value and strategic alignment.
  • Defines and prioritizes product features based on business value, technical feasibility, and business feedback.
  • Creates user stories and acceptance criteria to communicate product requirements to the engineering team.
  • Coordinate the release planning process, setting clear expectations for delivering new product functionality to the business.
  • Plays an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Keeps abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and trends.
  • Ensures business needs are met by defining feature specifications with the business and communicating the requirements to the development teams.
  • Partners with Information Security, Compliance, and the business to ensure compliance with security and regulatory guidelines.

  • Solid understanding of the business goals and objectives along with a strong technical background and understanding of software development processes and technologies.

  • Advanced knowledge ofAgile process management tools such as JIRA, Trello, etc.


Requirements & Reporting:

IT Product Owner – Fiserv DNA Grade 18/ Exempt/ $107,016.00 – $132,204.80

  • Reports directly to assigned department leadership.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field of study; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Credit Union or financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification or equivalent experience.
  • Promotion Considerations:
  • Demonstrated competency in all role success measures.

Sr. IT Product Owner – Fiserv DNA Grade 20/ Exempt/ $127,712.00 – $157,768.00

  • Reports directly to assigned department leadership.
    • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field of study; or equivalent related work experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Credit Union or financial services industry experience is a plus.
    • Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification or equivalent experience.
