Are you a procurement professional who thrives on negotiation, loves working with technology suppliers, and enjoys making a real commercial impact on a global scale? If so, this could be the role for you!
About the Role
Join Swiss Re's global Procurement team in Bratislava and take ownership of strategic technology sourcing activities that matter. From software and SaaS to cloud, IT services, connectivity, licensing and hardware — you'll be at the heart of how Swiss Re sources and manages its technology partnerships. This is a role where your commercial instincts, stakeholder skills and sourcing expertise will be put to great use, with genuine opportunities to grow your career in IT procurement alongside a talented, international team.
What You Can Expect
This is not a procurement operations or purchase-order administration role. This is a genuine opportunity to develop your expertise in strategic technology sourcing, working on commercially meaningful projects with global suppliers and international stakeholders. You'll gain exposure to multiple IT categories, take real ownership of sourcing and negotiation activities, and work closely with Swiss Re's global Procurement organisation — building skills and experience that will advance your career in IT procurement.
Key Responsibilities
About the Team
You will be joining Swiss Re's global Procurement organisation, a team dedicated to sourcing technology solutions that power one of the world's leading reinsurance companies. The team covers a broad range of IT categories — including software, SaaS, cloud, IT services, connectivity, licensing and hardware — and works closely with Category Managers and business stakeholders across multiple international locations. It's a collaborative, commercially focused environment where your contributions will have a tangible impact on Swiss Re's technology partnerships and sourcing outcomes.
About You
You are a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys the full sourcing cycle — from running RFx processes through to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. You bring strong analytical skills and a natural ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels. You don't need to be an expert across every IT category from day one; what matters most is a solid procurement foundation, intellectual curiosity about technology, and a drive to keep developing your expertise.
