Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist for a contract through the end of January 2027 (potential for extension) with the State of Maine in Augusta, ME.

  • Hybrid work schedule: Onsite 1 day per week - must currently reside within 2 hours of Augusta, ME
  • We cannot consider anyone requiring C2C or that requires sponsorship for a work visa

Responsibilities

IT Procurement Specialist Responsibilities:

  • The IT Procurement Specialist will partner closely with IT Procurement to manage and coordinate inbound funding requests.
  • This role is responsible for reviewing requests within internal systems, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly submitted to support timely processing and approval.
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires regular interaction with stakeholders across IT, Procurement, and business teams to obtain missing information, provide status updates, and resolve documentation issues.
  • Coordinate and support cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders across IT and Procurement organizations. • Ensure project activities, documentation, communications, and deliverables were completed accurately and on schedule through strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills. • Collaborate closely with business partners, technical teams, and procurement personnel to gather requirements, track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.• Facilitate communication between functional areas, monitored project milestones, and contributed to the successful execution of initiatives while maintaining compliance with organizational processes and standards.
