The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated IT Category Lead to join the Supply Chain Team focusing on IT Category procurement. This position can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Williamtown. 

Responsibilities:

In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to: 

  • Lead Indirect Procurement IT Category team of 4
  • Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for IT related software, goods and services;
  • Plan, draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types of varying complexities;
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop pipeline of work and execute;
  • Build and maintain core relationships with key The Boeing Company focals;
  • Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time perform.ance and compliance;
  • Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress and status reporting; and
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures. 

Experience/Qualifications

The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies: 

  • Five (5) years or more work experience in IT category management
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, commerce or business desired;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Experience leading teams
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and applicants with current Australian defence clearances are highly desirable.
