Role-Summary:
Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of IT hardware, software, licenses, cloud services, networking equipment, and IT-related services. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement to support business operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT products and services.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for hardware, software, cloud services, and IT infrastructure.
  • Manage and monitor RFQ processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements.
  • Handle end-to-end procurement activities covering both Direct and Indirect Procurement, including CAPEX and OPEX categories.
  • Collaborate, support and communicate with the Global Procurement Team to leverage strategic sourcing opportunities, drive cost optimization initiatives, standardization projects and align procurement strategies across regions.

Vendor & Contract Management:

  • Manage relationships with OEMs, distributors, system integrators, and service providers.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts, SLAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Drive vendor consolidation and strategic partnerships.

Cost Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
  • Benchmark pricing and monitor market trends.
  • Review and evaluate technical offers in coordination with engineering and user departments and prepare Techno-Commercial Comparisons (TCC) to support supplier selection and procurement decisions.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations based on techno-commercial evaluations to achieve the optimum balance of cost, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Manage annual procurement budgets and spending forecasts.
  • Ensure procurement delivers maximum value while maintaining quality and service levels.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Project Teams, and Business Units.
  • Support IT projects by ensuring timely procurement of required products and services.
  • Align procurement activities with business and technology roadmaps.

Procurement Operations & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Maintain and manager procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.
  • Manage procurement risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support audits and internal control requirements.

Inventory & Asset Management:

  • Coordinate with IT teams for inventory planning and asset lifecycle management.
  • Monitor stock levels of critical IT equipment.
  • Support warranty, AMC, and renewal management activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Procurement cost savings achieved.
  • On-time delivery and procurement cycle time.
  • Supplier performance and service levels.
  • Contract compliance and risk management.
  • Budget/Target Spend adherence.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Information Technology / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or related field.

Experience:

  • 12–15 years of procurement experience, with significant exposure to IT procurement.
  • Experience in sourcing IT hardware, software licenses, cloud services, networking equipment, and IT services.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation and supplier management.

Objective: Ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement of IT products and services while supporting the organization's digital transformation and operational requirements.
