The IT Portfolio Governance Lead will own day-to-day portfolio governance activities and provide hands-on functional leadership for ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management.

This is not a generic ServiceNow administrator or ITSM ticketing position. The person must be able to work across portfolio governance, product/project/service roadmaps, investment and delivery metrics, change and risk governance, and the ServiceNow SPM data used to operate those functions.

OJP specifically identifies management of SPM fiscal calendars, templates, functional metadata, integrated roadmaps, portfolio metrics, IT change governance, enterprise IT risk governance, and support to the Portfolio Review Board, Architecture Review Board, Standards Working Group, and related governance bodies.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years required in IT product, portfolio, program, or enterprise governance.
  • 3+ years of direct hands-on ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management experience strongly preferred. Legacy ITBM/PPM terminology is acceptable where the experience is equivalent.
  • Must be able to discuss personally maintaining/configuring portfolio-related functional data such as fiscal calendars, templates, metadata, demand/project/product/portfolio information, roadmaps, and metrics.
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated roadmaps across multiple products, projects, services, dependencies, releases, and investment priorities.
  • Experience consolidating delivery, cost, schedule, risk, dependency, product, or investment metrics for management decision-making.
  • Experience supporting or operating governance bodies such as portfolio review boards, architecture review boards, change advisory boards, standards boards, or equivalent enterprise governance forums.
  • Experience with enterprise IT change management and IT risk governance, including action/decision tracking and escalation.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/product delivery and the relationship among epics, stories, roadmaps, product outcomes, dependencies, and delivery metrics.
  • Must be capable of facilitating senior stakeholder meetings, producing decision-ready materials, documenting decisions/actions, and communicating across technical and business groups.
  • Federal, state/local government, financial services, healthcare, defense, or another regulated enterprise environment preferred.

Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM).
  • ServiceNow Strategic Planning/Strategic Portfolio credentials or accreditation are useful.
  • PMP, SAFe, ITIL, product-management, or portfolio-management credentials are secondary advantages
