
The IT PMO Senior Infrastructure Project Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, requiring a seasoned professional with at least 10 to 15 years of IT project management experience in a large, global company. The successful candidate will possess a deep knowledge of and be an expert practitioner of Project Management industry best practices and have a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional IT infrastructure projects to successful completion. This includes Compute (on-prem & Azure cloud), Data storage, Network and Communications, Data Centers, Cloud & Internet/Intranet services, End User Computing, AD, and Infra/Cyber Security disciplines.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of IT projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and project objectives.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
Oversee a global, cross-functional project team, providing strong leadership and direction to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with project owners and stakeholders, effectively leading projects from the front and ensuring transparent communication.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
Conduct regular project reviews and report on progress, risks, and opportunities to executive management and other key stakeholders.
Develop timely project status reports.
Assure that deviations from the project schedule are addressed and communicated.
Monitor project risk factors, escalate project issues, and provide Quality Assurance for all project deliverables.
Apply PMI institute's ten key knowledge areas of project management: Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communication, Risk, Procurement, and Stakeholder Management.
Drive continuous improvement within the PMO by championing best practices and process enhancements.
Utilize strong presentation skills to convey complex project information to executive audiences with clarity and confidence.
Foster a collaborative team environment, building strong relationships, and employing active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
Project Management certification is a must have requirement (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of IT project management experience, preferably in a large, global company.
Proven track record of delivering complex IT infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with experience in leading global, cross-functional teams.
Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members and stakeholders.
Highly process-oriented with a keen focus on quality and efficiency.
Experience in managing IT infrastructure projects in the following areas: Compute (on-prem & cloud), Data storage, Network and Communications, Data Centers, Cloud & Internet/Intranet services, End User Computing, and Infra/Cyber Security.
Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Testing Tools.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This role may require travel both domestically and internationally.
