We in Application Platforms are responsible for business-critical IT infrastructure and application platforms at If. We take care of vital IT services such as data and hosting platforms and Document Management.

About the role

As Platform Responsible for our Communication Composition and Distribution Platform, you ensure the platform provides stable, meaningful services to our business stakeholders and end customers.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the customer experience by developing and maintaining our Document Composition and Distribution platform providing value to business‑critical insurance systems. You will drive various initiatives and deliver a wide range of capabilities and customer communication outputs used across the business, ensuring consistent and high‑quality communication across multiple channels.

You work closely as a Product Owner with key stakeholders and customer communication teams and coordinate the development, implementation and lifecycle management of the platform capabilities. Your work includes platform budgeting and road mapping, planning day-to-day activities and work prioritization, active customer collaboration, stakeholder and vendor management and collection of business needs.

You will lead production support and operational work, including incident handling, problem management, and securing business continuity.

Who are you?

You are a tech-savvy IT professional who enjoys working with evolving platforms that support modern business needs. You combine technical understanding with a business mindset and take responsibility throughout the platform lifecycle—from design and development to operations and continuous improvement.

You are goal-driven and curious, and you care about building reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient platforms. You value standards and governance, and you think long-term about sustainability and maintainability, while still enabling speed and innovation.

You might have a background as a developer and want to grow into a platform responsible role where you help set technical direction and support multiple teams and stakeholders.

You bring:

• Experience in delivering business-critical IT solutions and platforms

• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and resource management for IT platforms

• Ability to lead platform initiatives from planning to delivery

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure) and platform architecture

• Familiarity with resource management, supporting both delivery and capability development

You take ownership and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy shaping platforms that create long-term value for the organization.

You also have:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and people skills

• An analytical, thorough, and solutions-oriented working approach

• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps

• Good/Excellent English skills, enabling clear collaboration across countries

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent
