The Analytics Service team drives the system planning, engineering, and operations behind Ford’s enterprise analytics and Big Data solutions. Our platforms empower teams globally - including Product-Driven Organizations (PDOs), IT service delivery partners, and the Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDIA) team—to build mission-critical, line-of-business applications accessed directly by our end-user community. We support a robust, enterprise-scale platforms - such as Power BI, QlikSense, Alteryx,WebFOCUS, Business Objects, Looker Studio, and more - that are critical to Ford's rapidly evolving analytics needs.

This position is a key Engineering and Operations role within the Descriptive Analytics team. You will be responsible for the engineering, operations, and optimization of our core reporting and visualization platforms hosted in Azure, the Google Cloud Platform, and Ford’s enterprise data centers.
What you'll do..
Platform Engineering & Operations: Drive the day-to-day operations of our analytics platforms—monitoring performance, managing user/group and content security, and rapidly troubleshooting server and product issues.
Customer-Focused Solutions: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, such as Enterprise Architecture, to gather requirements and deliver highly engineered, scalable solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Innovate by developing new tools, automations, and processes to maximize the effectiveness and adoption of our technology stack.
Documentation: Create and maintain clear, modern documentation for daily processes, installations, and operational procedures (Run Books, Operational Manuals, Knowledgebase articles, etc.).
Infrastructure Support: Provide expert L2/L3 infrastructure support to users and Operations teams, championing ITIL best practices for Request, Incident, Change, Event, and Problem Management.
Vendor Collaboration: Partner directly with platform vendors to facilitate and resolve complex, escalated issues.
Future-Proofing: Evaluate, engineer, and operate both current and next-generation analytics platforms to ensure they meet enterprise infrastructure standards.
You'll have...
Education - Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field of study or equivalent experience.
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience engineering and managing application platforms that run on Windows Server.
System Administration: Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-tenant environments.
AI Fluency: We leverage powerful AI engines, agents, and assistants every day to accelerate our work. You must be comfortable using these tools and possess the critical thinking skills required to evaluate AI-generated responses for correctness, context, and appropriateness.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a knack for solving complex infrastructure puzzles.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate seamlessly with everyone from product vendors and internal Ford teams.
Product Lifecycle: Solid understanding of the Product Life Cycle (release cadences, service packs, upgrades, etc.).

Familiarity with broader enterprise and cloud service offerings, including Databases, Containers, Storage, and Networking.
Understanding of database connectivity for enterprise technologies, such as ODBC, service keys and keyless authentication, SQL Server, Oracle, or PGSQL.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern delivery concepts, including GitHub, VS Code, CI/CD, Terraform, and pipelines.
Helpful: Knowledge of internal Ford tools, frameworks and concepts such as GRC, EAA, OSP Process, and Service Now.

This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $74,300-$166,200.,
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
