QED (https://qed.ai) is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and AI used at the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, including surveillance of HIV and malaria, and nutrient analysis of crops and soils. Our work happens at a national scale, and our funding comes from partners like the Gates Foundation, CDC, and USAID.
As we scale, we are looking for a highly trusted IT Operations Specialist to join our Warsaw team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the lifecycle of the hardware that powers our development and field operations across the globe. You will also be responsible for managing digital access internally, as well as externally. We are looking for a versatile professional with a background that spans both hardware and software administration.
Our core medical services run on custom Kubernetes clusters hosted across a mix of VM providers and bare‑metal servers in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond, and we are rapidly expanding to new countries. While not a core requirement, technical expertise to physically install, cable, and configure server racks on-site is a big plus. If you have an adventurous soul and a willingness to travel to our African offices to manage these hardware deployments firsthand, it would be an additional advantage (this added commitment would also come with higher pay).

QED (https://qed.ai) builds data systems and AI for health and agriculture. It is a fully mission-driven technology company, working on humanitarian projects aligned with SDGs 2, 3, 6, and 15, usually based in East Africa or South Asia.
With each project, we aim to empower organizations that have outstanding goals, by shaping and redirecting tech to align with their circumstances on the ground such that they can better collect, manage, and analyze the data needed to inform policy decisions.
Since its inception, QED has been providing mission-critical support for many international projects in countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa, Nepal, India, Taiwan, and Mexico.
