The IT Operations Manager oversees the delivery of high-quality IT operational services to ensure stable business operations and strong end-user experience. This role is accountable for service performance, cost control, vendor and asset management, and continuous improvement, and serves as a key liaison between regional sites and global IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Service Governance
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations in alignment with IT service management processes and SLAs.
- Track service performance and user satisfaction; manage escalations and follow up on tickets with negative feedback.
- Lead root-cause analysis for incidents and recurring issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Represent IT Operations in management forums and architecture-related discussions, providing operational input and risk considerations.
Business & Project Support
- Support regional business ramp-up by ensuring IT operational readiness
- Coordinate and support global IT projects, including local resource coordination, user communications, and testing support.
- Communicate clearly with end users and stakeholders, setting expectations and providing timely updates as needed.
IT Asset Management
- Own end-to-end IT asset management for end-user devices
- Forecast annual asset demand and manage budget utilization to support business growth and refresh cycles.
- Plan and execute device refresh and lifecycle management in line with global standards and compliance requirements.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage and monitor IT operational spending to ensure cost efficiency and transparency.
- Forecast and track IT operating budgets and contract costs, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage vendors and contracts, including invoice processing and tracking, to ensure service quality and contractual compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Initiate and deliver IT Operations Continuous Improvement Programs (CIPs) to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Drive operational optimization, standardization, and process improvements across the local IT environment.
- Maintain operational documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer to deskside and support teams.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Oversee the deskside support team by coordinating closely with Deskside Support Lead and periodically monitoring service quality.
- Work in strong partnership with IT SMEs, including IT Project Managers, Application Managers, and Network Engineers, to ensure timely achievement of project objectives
- Function as the central point of contact for IT inquiries and incidents, ensuring seamless coordination with the appropriate teams and focal points
Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8+ years of experience in IT operations, IT service management, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management, operational governance, and IT asset management.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract management, and budget tracking.
- Experience with AV systems, Network devices/cabling is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Korean & English proficiency is necessary (written and verbal) to collaborate with local & global teams.
Preferred Certifications)
- ITIL
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
