  • Salary:79000per year + 12% superannuation

  • Full time, ongoing role

About the role

As the IT Operations & Support Officer, you willbe responsible fordelivering first-line
desktop,applicationand AV support across RMIT UP.You'llplay a key role inmaintaininghardware/software environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting technology-related services both on-site and remotely.


Key responsibilities include

  • Providing responsive technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, AV equipment, and telephony.

  • Managing software installation, OS upgrades, and device configurations.

  • Delivering remote support to staff/students, including those based offshore.

  • Monitoringthe service desk queue and providingtimelyresolution of IT issues.

  • Supporting application management, including Canvas, student systems, and database updates.

  • Assistingwith training and induction fornew staffon IT systems and tools

You’llalso collaborate with internal teams and external partners,participatein continuous improvementinitiativesand support high-level events with on-site technicalassistance

AboutYou

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge of Remote Desktop Tools, Online Collaboration Tools (such as Zoom and MS Teams), and support platforms like ServiceNow.

  • Strongexpertisein M365, Active Directory, SCCM, Windows OS, Microsoft Endpoint services, and Intune.

  • A customer-focused approach with proven ability to provide a professional andtimelysupport service to diverse stakeholders

  • Excellentorganisationalandtime managementskills to meet deadlinesand deliverunder pressure.

  • A proactive and flexible attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and best practice principles.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving businessobjectives.
