Job Description
The IT Operations Analyst is accountable for supporting the systems, applications, and store infrastructure that enable Casey’s store business processes. This includes monitoring daily production activity, performing basic maintenance, and supporting requests escalated from the Store Help Desk or requests created by automated monitoring tools.
When applicable, this role collaborates with engineers and cross-functional IT teams to validate that integrations, developed components, and infrastructure changes are implemented as intended. Ensures systems or applications operating outside normal parameters are reported, documented, and remediated according to established service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary support contact for day-to-day infrastructure operations by monitoring and responding to incidents submitted through the service management platform.
- Partner with the internal Help Desk and third-party vendors to help ensure store connectivity performs as expected.
- Support infrastructure performance by assisting with provisioning, modifying, and maintaining servers and cloud-based resources.
- Provide technical support for store systems using approved secure remote support tools, such as Bomgar/BeyondTrust.
- Support and maintain edge infrastructure that enables critical store and site operations.
- Assist with deploying, monitoring, and validating Microsoft security patches and operating system updates across supported infrastructure to help maintain system stability, security, and compliance.
- Use basic scripting, such as PowerShell or Python, to assist with automation, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.
- Monitor production systems for availability, capacity, and performance.
- Assist with managing, monitoring, executing, and validating enterprise system backups, including confirmation that secured backup data is stored in a physically separate location from the source system.
- Maintain accurate and current process and/or technical support documentation in the form of process flows, data flows, mock-ups, user experience documentation, run books, and additional technical documentation.
- Monitor production systems, logs, and alerts to support high availability and minimize user impact. Log service requests and work with internal and third-party support resources to remediate issues.
- Monitor integration points with internal systems and third-party software to help ensure batch processes complete accurately and issues are escalated through the appropriate incident process.
- Follow change management governance controls and ensure proper approvals are obtained before configuration changes are made.
- Assist with maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise data across supported systems, platforms, and data transfer processes in alignment with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for critical systems and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation
Starting pay range: $61,100 -$80,200.Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum 3 years of IT Analyst experience supporting applications, infrastructure, or related technology platforms.
- Experience with IT service management and collaboration tools, such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Teams, or Smartsheet.
- Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting, including creating or modifying scripts to improve efficiency, support troubleshooting, and assisting with system administration tasks.
- Prior experience with cloud-based infrastructure, platform, or software-as-a-service applications and vendors is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to document business requirements and functional / technical specifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing competing deadlines, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities.
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for critical systems and services.
This role does not allow for 100% remote work. Qualified candidates must live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA and be willing to work onsite 5 days per week.
