Job Description

Job Purpose

To execute the Group’s IT operations, including the deployment, activation, configuration, and administration of software programs and operating systems, mainframe systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related operating systems are properly installed, configured, and deployed on the Bank’s main systems, and that users are appropriately configured and granted access in proper and uninterrupted operation of operating systems, main systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related infrastructure upgrades to operating systems, main systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related infrastructure, and ensure that appropriate data and information security and protection measures are implemented and perform the necessary modifications and enhancements to improve operational efficiency. All issues and observations shall be technologies used by the Bank, as well as to troubleshoot and resolve any related issues in order to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that operating systems are properly installed, configured, and deployed on the Bank’s main systems, and that users are appropriately configured and granted access in accordance with their job requirements and applicable instructions.
  • Monitor the performance of the operating systems in use and ensure that they operate optimally and efficiently to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure the proper and uninterrupted operation of operating systems, main systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related infrastructure, ensuring that all system users can access and utilize the systems without failures, interruptions, or delays.
  • Follow up on updates and upgrades to operating systems, main systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related infrastructure, and ensure that appropriate data and information security and protection measures are implemented across these systems and users’ devices.
  • Test and validate new and modified systems used by the Bank, ensuring their effectiveness and assessing the extent to which they meet business and user requirements.
  • Provide technical support for operating systems, main systems, storage units, main memory, personal computers, backup systems, disaster recovery/alternate sites, and other related infrastructure, and perform the necessary modifications and enhancements to improve operational efficiency. All issues and observations shall be tracked and managed through the designated issue-management system (Jira).
  • Serve as a primary or alternate member of the Business Continuity Plan and officially designated emergency response teams, carrying out all duties assigned under the plan in order to minimize the impact of crises and restore operations as quickly as possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Possession of one or more certifications in the following areas:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant practical experience in the position’s area of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and experience working with implemented systems and applications.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures governing the work, including relevant internal and external updates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
