Job Description

Role Accountabilities

1. Network Design, Implementation and Operations

  • Design, configure, and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across multiple offices and remote locations.
  • Plan and manage network infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and improvements to meet organizational needs.
  • Deploy and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and load balancers.
  • Ensure redundancy and high availability through appropriate failover configurations.
  • Monitor and manage network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Implement and manage QoS (Quality of Service) for critical business applications.
  • Manage VPN configurations for secure remote access for users across multiple locations.
  • Oversee network cabling infrastructure and ensure adherence to industry standards


2. Communication Systems Management

  • Manage enterprise VoIP, unified communication platforms, and collaboration technologies.
  • Manage the integration of audio, video conferencing, and instant messaging technologies.
  • Design, configure, and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across multiple offices and remote locations.


3. Network Security

  • Manage and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and secure access controls.
  • Implement and monitor network security controls to reduce risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct frequent security audits, patch management, and penetration testing to verify compliance.
  • Monitor for potential cyber threats and manage incident response for network-related issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent are required.
  • Minimum of 5- 8 years' experience managing complex network infrastructures across multiple locations.
  • Proven expertise in managing enterprise-level LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP networks.
  • Network Design & Architecture: Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Network Devices: Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (e.g., Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Cisco).
  • Network Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar platforms.
  • Communication Systems: Expertise in VoIP, unified communications, and video conferencing tools.
  • Network Security: Deep understanding of firewalls, VPNs, NAC (Network Access Control), and network penetration testing.
  • Protocols: Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, QoS).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business focus with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure.
