Tesla has an opportunity for a IT Manufacturing Support Technician at its Lathrop CA location. The IT Manufacturing Support Technician is a unique role on the front lines of Tesla manufacturing. We solve problems every day and interact with different technologies to support Tesla’s mission to build a world of amazing abundance. You will provide critical IT Support for both production lines, warehousing and logistics areas, ensuring minimal downtime to the entire facility. You will have a hands-on role that involves working with a ride range of technologies, from manufacturing endpoints to label printers, and automation tools while directly contributing to Teslas mission of building a world of amazing abundance.

What You’ll Do

• Primary responsibility is to keep manufacturing lines running
• Install, support, upgrade, replace, and remediate all IT hardware along manufacturing lines and warehouse operations
• Quickly respond to requests and incidents from our customers
• Troubleshoot Hardware, Operating System and software issues using Winfinder, Lnxfinder, Ansible
• Troubleshoot Network issues from the client up to the switch and IDF using Thingfinder
• Interface with the various manufacturing groups to understand issues
• Interpret how to solve long term needs within the framework of IT MFG standards
• Provide IT support for Logistics and warehousing operations which includes Label printers, scanners and other products
• Help maintain accurate inventory of IT assets
• Help interpret short term and long term solutions within IT MFG standards

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a desktop support or system admin role
• Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on Windows machines
• Experience troubleshooting printings, barcode scanners, digital signage
• Experience troubleshooting basic client-side network (DHCP, DNS, Static IP) problems
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be available for swing shift, weekends, and on-call support
• Linux support experience a plus
• Network hardware support experience a plus
• Dev/Ops experience a plus

Expected Compensation

$23.04 - $52.92/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
